What is SSF ?
The FFA has recently announced a new national approach to junior player development called SSF (Small Sided Football). More information on SSF can be found on the FFV's website via this link: Small Sided Football
Please take the time to read the information that is provided by the FFV. It will answer most of your questions and give you a better understanding of the reasons for changing to a Small Sided Football scenario for junior development.
Who is eligible to play SSF ?
Boys & Girls between the ages of 6 - 11 years old in 2010.
What do I need to provide when registering my child?
When a child is registered with Box Hill Inter SC you must fill in a player registration form. If the child is about to play in the FFV competition for Box Hill Inter SC for the first time you must provide proof of age (see below) and a passport sized photograph.
Do I need to provide a birth certificate?
Children who are playing in the FFV junior competition for the first time, including SSF, will need to provide a copy of their birth certificate. This is not optional. If the birth certificate has not been provided we will not be registering the child to play.
When does SSF commence?
2010 fixture dates will be released by the FFV on March 22nd.
What time will SSF run?
Training will be conducted on week nights for all age groups. Exact days / times will be published once the club has been given access to training venues by the council. We are hopeful that this will occur in March, please keep an eye on the club website for updates.
Intra club matches as well as home & away fixtures will take place on Saturday mornings. All home matches will be conducted at Wembley Park and Sparks Reserve.
NB: The club will do its best to accommodate all members requests.
What is the cost for SSF?
U6 - U9: $345
U10 - U11: $395
Includes full uniform and $50 club development levy
Cash or Personal Cheque only - We have no credit or Eftpos facilities
How do I register my child for SSF?
Box Hill Inter are now asking for new players to the club to pre-register for the 2010 season.
If you are new to the club please click on the following email link and provide your childs full name and DOB. You will then be required to attend the following registration day to complete the registration process and pay your fees.
When: Saturday February 20th.
9am - 11am
Where: Box Hill Action Indoor Sports Centre (Upper Function Room) - 9 Clarice Road, Box Hill
Whether you played for Box Hill last year or not you must attend the registration day to pay your fees and be fitted for your uniform. This includes all players who have pre-registered.
